 In 2004, I managed students of bachelor degree in biology to do field observation in the only forest where the endangered species of javanese panthera left.


 We lived in the forest observation camp for two nights. I observed not only the biological (flora and fauna), but also the ecological and atmospheric.


In the morning up to 11 am, the sky around the mountain (Halimun mountain : one of the mounts is Salak mount) was covered with fog.


We could not see the sun even that time was in July, July is dry season in Indonesia. The atmospheric characteristics of dry season are : high intensity of solar radiation, less clouds, high air temperature in daylight (and minimum temperature at night/sometime occurs frost in tropical region).

This topographic condition makes Bogor city famous as "rain city" . and this condition made the pilot and co-pilot of Sukoy Jet misprediction their navigation. and crashed in the mountain.
